Undergraduate Award Recipients
The UB Classics Department confers three awards annually upon outstanding undergraduates. All three prize recipients are honored and lauded at the department's end-of-year party.
The Dean's Outstanding Graduating Senior holds a place of honor at commencement, carrying the banner for the department in the procession, sitting in a special section, and being recognized along with outstanding seniors from other departments before the entire assembly.
The Exceptional Graduating Senior receives a cash prize from the department for distinguished achievement in Classics.
The award for Outstanding Continuing Major is conferred upon a Classics Major who is not graduating. He or she also receives a cash prize from the department for distinguished achievement in Classics.
